Club Wheelhouse Fundraiser
May 2026
The Della Penna Foundation just turned five! Founded by Michelle Della Penna, daughter of Indycar legend John Della Penna, the foundation nurtures the next generation of women in motorsports through scholarships, mentorship, and direct access to the industry.
Five years in: over 500 girls reached, 200+ through programs in Indianapolis and Sonoma, two at Purdue's School of Motorsports Engineering, one competing in F4.
Some of the people making it happen met up at Club Wheelhouse to celebrate:
Michelle Della Penna, Founder, and Susan Lucas-Conwell, Executive Director.
Lyn St. James, first woman to win Rookie of the Year at the Indy 500, seven-time Indy 500 starter, 2022 Automotive Hall of Fame inductee. Now on the Foundation's Drivers Council and Co-Founder of Women in Motorsports North America.
Ana Palestro, racing in F4 while still in high school.
We invest in the organizations that make Marin and Sonoma worth choosing. The Della Penna Foundation is absolutely one of them.
